This image demonstrates my most recent methods toward establishing a composition for large scale works. I created life-size ink drawings on newsprint, taped them together, and cut them to begin worlding an environment.

In face of GMO mono-culture cultivation of maize, this painting is an ode to a nearly endangered way of relating to maize and the living world as a dynamically rich and interwoven system of relations. The ambiguous figure lies in a passive reverie, chthonicly enmeshed between the micro (roots) and macro (milky way galaxy).
